Mrs Nicky Stenner

Nicky Stenner is a fervent advocate for the children of Exmoor and the Moorland Federation. Nicky's teaching journey began in 2007, and she has been bringing rich learning experiences to students at various local schools ever since. Her trajectory led her to Exford, where she initially joined as Senior Teacher in 2019 and subsequently embraced the role of Head of School (HoS) in 2022.

Academic Qualifications and Career Highlights:

• Degrees and Certifications: Nicky's academic credentials are notable, holding a BA (Hons) in Education and English, a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), and the postgraduate National Award for Special Educational Needs Coordination (NASENCo).
• Broad Teaching Experience: With extensive teaching experience from various local schools, Nicky brings a diverse teaching background to her role at Exford.
• Leadership at Exford: Her leadership journey includes her current role as Head of School at Exford since 2022, following her previous position as Senior Teacher.

• Designated Safeguarding Lead: Nicky plays a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all students under her care.
• Special Educational Needs and Disability Coordinator (SENDCo): Her expertise in special education needs ensures inclusive education for all students.
• Senior Mental Health Lead: Nicky's commitment to mental health underscores her approach to holistic education, ensuring all students have the emotional support they need.
• Curriculum Champion for RE across the Federation: Leading the Religious Education curriculum across the Federation, Nicky ensures a well-rounded and inclusive approach to faith and spirituality in education.
• PFSA Team Management: As the line manager for the Parent and Family Support Advisor (PFSA) team, she ensures families receive the additional support and guidance they need.
